Is Long-term Recovery Your Goal?

We carry out recovery as a goal, much like any other goal.  Want a new car or house and cannot simply write a check?  Then you know that you will have to save money to carry out the goal.

Want a better opportunity for a lucrative job?  Then you know that you need either a college degree or specialized training to help this goal.

All of these goals take incremental actions to define and bring about your stated goal.

Recovery: When You Contribute, We All Learn

We had a new member in our group tonight. Most of the women have over six months in recovery and facilitating this group, I’ve gotten to know them.  I never expect the newest to speak first, but always acknowledge them and let them know that they may either speak first or let us know when they are ready to introduce themselves; but to always feel free to contribute to the conversation at any time.
