Words of Wisdom about Change

Are some of you wondering how often I can write about change? Get tired of me prattling on about change? Well, today, instead of my words, I’ll offer some more perspectives from famous, not-so-famous, and other writers who inspire me with their words on change.

Sometimes, how someone else writes about changes inspires me, and I hope that these quotes about change will motivate, inspire, and get you ready to change.

Many of these people are not in recovery, but what they have to say about changing has application for moving beyond addiction and towards recovery, and for many of us, that is the biggest change we have ever made in our lives.

One is not in bondage to the past, which has shaped our feelings, to race, inheritance, background. All this can be altered if we have the courage to examine how it formed us. We can alter the chemistry provided we have the courage to dissect the elements.” Anaïs Nin

Encouraging You to Change

 _____
Today, I hope that you found inspiration or encouragement to keep making the changes in your life that will improve it. That’s the beauty of words. Each of us as a writer uses the same ones, but strings them together in various ways. All of these quotes spoke to me in different ways. I’m curious which quote touched you, or helped you feel more positive today about your changes
One writer’s words will resonate for me. Another writer will touch you, help you feel more positive about changing, or convince you that transforming your life from active addiction to recovery is possible.

If you will, leave me a comment about which quote meant something to you and why. Thanks.
