“Lux spent the ride dialing the radio for her favorite song. “It makes me crazy,” she said. “You know they’re playing it somewhere, but you have to find it.”
Jeffrey Eugenides, The Virgin Suicides

I had the privilege of being the guest on Spirit of Recovery Radio yesterday. Anna Shouse, Ph.D is a gracious, engaging host with years of archived podcasts about recovery.

I would urge you to listen when you can’t make a meeting. If you are not familiar with this excellent resources, here’s some information from their “About page” on Facebook:

Spirit of Recovery Radio is the place where spirituality and recovery meet—where we support YOUR spiritual growth in recovery.

Spirit of Recovery is a welcoming place for people in recovery from addiction of any kind, for family members, and for everyone who wants to learn more about the process of recovery.

Every week we talk about topics that are important to the recovery community with guests who are either in recovery themselves or who work with or write for recovering people. We bring you practical information you can use and lively discussions to get you thinking.

Put a little peace in your day with The Serenity Minute—a moment of uplifting thought and reflection. Spirit of Recovery is a great place to be part of the discussion about spirituality and recovery. It’s a community committed to lifelong recovery, authentic spiritual growth and joyful service. And it’s open to all.”

Also, I would invite you to use Soul Matters- Spirit Works, Anna’s web site. From the site:

Soul Matters-Spirit Works, “a positive, profession resource for individuals walking a spiritual path” is a positive, professional resource for individuals walking a spiritual path, for spiritual communities and their leadership, for addiction treatment and mental health professionals, and for people in recovery.”
